What is Twitter?
Twitter is a brand spanking new web application that is taking the internet by storm. Ultimately it is like a blog but with much shorter posts “a micro blog application” and it allows you to send out very short messages to other users who are following you on Twitter. These messages which are also called tweets have a limit of 140 characters making them very manageable.

Due to the short nature of the messages and the small number of characters, users are able to update their status or chat to friends online or using their mobile phones!
